About Us
My grandfather and father farmed the land to feed our ohana, sharing what they grew with friends and selling at the local markets. Farming was never just about food—it was a way of life that supported our family, built community connections, and honored the aina. I returned home with the simple intention of cleaning up the land. What began as a small effort quickly grew into something much deeper. It reconnected me to my roots, my culture, and the legacy of my family. It has since become my heart and soul, a way to give back to my community by contributing to Molokai’s food sovereignty and cultural practices.
Practices
I grow using natural methods. My guiding philosophy is to strengthen our ability on Molokai to feed ourselves while supporting education, cultural arts, and traditions. My work is grounded in integrity, sustainability, and aloha ʻāina. Through my participation in Sustʻāinable Molokai’s Food Sovereignty Program, I carry forward the vision of a thriving, self-reliant food system—by us, for us—while honoring the legacy of those who came before us on our backyard farm.
